Jorge comes from a long line of Colombian cyclists. He, his father, and brothers have raced and toured all over the country. After studying sociology at the University of Antioquia in Medellín he returned to Jericó to live on his family's coffee farm. In addition to spending his time riding with his friends and coaching the Jericó youth cycling club, Jorge serves as a town council member, focusing on environmental sustainability programs.
